In over 40 years of covering sports I have never been around someone more dedicated, professional and driven to succeed as Basheer "Coach" Abdullah. I only wish I had a son who was interested in boxing because I know the perfect coach!!!

“Basheer truly is inspiring whether we're in the "boxing world" or not and it's recognized by anyone he talked to this weekend, particularly the trainers and staff who were so engaged when he'd speak. He has a natural talent for capturing his audience and creating a drive within his listeners. Basheer was invaluable and will not be forgotten. He is truly an inspiration to those he coaches.”
